Premier India Football Academy football team namely PIFA - Colaba Youngstar FC was formed in 2006 and played the MDFA Senior division in the same year. The team was managed & financed by PIFA. The team was also coached and trained by PIFA Director Mr Nirvan Shah, an FA licensed coach. He adopted the latest training methods and equipment used by PIFA’s international partners.

The team remained unbeaten in the play offs of the MDFA Senior division and was promoted to the Super Division. The victory brought immense pride in the Colaba community. Two boys from the team, Harshad Meher & Ajit Bhoir have been called to play for AIFF’s India U-16 team touring Germany.

The team is looking to get promoted once again and with a youth academy already in place it hopes to play the NFL next year.

Tilaknagar Industries Ltd financial support will help PIFA CYFC to retain members of the winning team as well as import talented players to help the team win the title. The sponsors will also get their names on the MDFA 4th Division PIFA team as well as the MDFA Womens PIFA team.

PIFA CYFC kicks off its hunt for the Super Division title on 2nd October 2007 at Cooperage football ground after which they will go a tour to Assam to play a two local tournaments.

PIFA is also getting highly experienced and well-qualified International coaches to conduct two football camps in Mumbai for children 8-16 years of age. These camps will be held for the fourth successive year. The camp guarantees improvement and is open to all levels. And children form all over India sign up for these fun and educating camps. Over 500 children have been to these camps in the last 3 years.
